6 Months Old

Grace turned 6 months old on December 2nd. She weighed in at 16 1/2 pounds. This is my favorite age! She is so smiley and is sitting up all by herself now. She loves to play, but her favorite pastime is definitely studying her brothers' every move. She's fascinated by them and is always looking, in particular, for Jack's attention. As soon as he looks at her she gets a huge smile on her face.

Her pediatrician also said that it is time for those midnight feedings to come to an end. Gracie is a trained night feeder. She still wakes up to eat 1-2 times at night. Mommy hasn't had a full night's sleep in 6 months! Sorry Gracie, but you are not going to be happy about this. Dr. Diehl promised just three nights of tears and then she'll be over it. We'll see if she's as strong-willed as Jack was when we had to "Ferberize" him. So not fun.

As you can see from the pictures, she grabs everything and puts it right in her mouth. Not so easy to get these photos anymore!
