A Trip to the Missouri Botanical Gardens

On Saturday morning we ventured out to the Missouri Botanical Gardens. None of us had ever been there before and we loved it! There was a special DinoQuest exhibit in the Climatron that we stopped at first. The boys had a ball looking for dinosaurs in the jungle, dressing up as dinos and digging for dinosaur bones. Then we hit up the Children's Garden, where we could have stayed all day! There was a treehouse, slides, rope bridges, vines to swing from, wood blocks, a music and movement area, a rock wall, and lily pad fountains to play in (we didn't get to the fountains on this trip - next time we'll bring our swimsuits!). We finished our day with lunch at O'Connell's Pub - a St. Louis landmark and the best burgers in town. It was a lot of fun and the perfect day. We'll definitely go back again soon!

Heading into the Gardens.

Walking through the DinoQuest exhibit (didn't Gracie do a great job taking this picture?).

The boys find a giant T-Rex!!

Henry dresses up as a dinosaur.

Jack's turn!

Jack and Henry jump and dance while seeing themselves projected on a giant screen.

Their image on the bigscreen.

Our little archaeologists.

Gracie enjoyed her view of the gardens from her stroller.

Daddy and Jack head up in the tree house.

Henry makes a tower of wood.

The boys playing with the wooden pieces - what a great idea!

Jack playing a xylophone in the music area.
