Our Trip to Lost Loon Lodge

It has taken a while to do this post. We dropped our camera in the lake while we were in Wisconsin, so we've had to collect photos from family!!

We made our annual trip to Lost Loon Lodge, with the Paneks, for the 4th of July. It was our first trip to the Northwoods since Papa passed away, so it was a little bittersweet. Lost Loon Lodge was Papa's dream come true - and we know that he would want us to enjoy it to the fullest - so that's what we decided to do. And we had so much fun! Jack was really into fishing this year - he caught 5 or 6 fish! Papa would definitely have been really proud.

Henry, after our arrival at Lost Loon.

Having a ball with sidewalk chalk.

Jack riding the four wheeler!

Henry and Caitlyn at the picnic table - all smiles!

Dance party by the jukebox!

Ella and Henry slow dance and hug.

Jack makes his move.

Who's ready for Twister?!
Running down to the dock to go fishing. Jack was so excited to fish this year! He practiced a lot in St. Louis before we left by putting sticks in puddles and saying, "Here fishy, fishy".....never really caught much.

Waiting for a bite....

Jack catches his first fish!!!!!!!!!!!

Riding in a go-kart with Daddy. Jack loved go-karts!

Pony rides in Eagle River.

Henry takes a ride.
Roasting marshmallows in the fire pit.

Going for a pontoon ride on the Fourth of July.
Each night before bed, the kids would watch a video. Jack and Henry always sat together in this chair. They really are best buds.

I can only imagine how bittersweet it is not to have your dad there. It's a beautiful place and it looked like you all had a wonderful time. I love the last picture of your two boys watching a movie, they are so cute. :)
