Summer Update
Wow - we have been BUSY lately. Summer is here and we are enjoying it full force! Here is a peek at what we've been up to -
PLAYING OUTSIDE
We've been enjoying our backyard a lot. Henry wants to do everything that Jack does - and is growing up WAY too fast!
BARNEY
Unfortunately, Barney has entered our lives. This is something that Mommy had tried to prevent (I think Barney is so obnoxious!), but Jack caught a glimpse of it at the end of another show and after that it was all about Barney. Auntie CoCo even gave Jack her stuffed Barney from when she was little. Jack wouldn't put it down for 2 days.
SPRINKLER FUN

POPSICLES
Lots of popsicles being consumed around here. Henry gets frustrated because he can't quite figure out how to get it all in his mouth right away. He's a "shoveler".
COLORING
Who is this child and what did you do with my son, Jack? Jack suddenly will sit still for an hour at a time and color, like a little angel. The first time he sat there for an hour I just couldn't believe it. We are desperately searching for more Thomas coloring books because he has filled every page of the ones we have. He loves to color!
HENRY'S DAY OUT
HENRY'S DAY OUT
I've started having a babysitter come one morning a week so that I can do something fun with just one of the boys. The first time was Henry's Day Out. We went to the park and the child was in Heaven. One man asked me Henry's age and then literally said, "I don't know if this is his first time out of the house in 14 months, but that child has more enthusiasm than any kid I've seen!" Henry was so excited to get to make all of the decisions about where we went in the park. Usually we just pick up and follow Jack, but not on Henry's Day Out. We did everything his way and he loved it.
Would it be summer without a trip to Grant's Farm?
Ready to enter the park.

Who knew there was a real railroad with old school, narrow gauge steam engines ten minutes from our house! We checked it out this weekend and took a 20 minute ride along the Meramec River in a tiny steam engine - just like Thomas! They even used a real turn table to turn the trains around. The kids were thrilled.
Ready to go for a ride.

It's been a great summer so far. That's not to say that we don't have a little meltdown every once in a while. I actually caught one on camera last week. Ha ha. But for the most part, we're having a great time getting outside and exploring our new neighborhood! Stay tuned for more summer fun.

Looks like you're having a GREAT summer! Magnolia has discovered Barney too! :( I did cave in and buy her a Barney DVD for car trips because I knew it would be the only one that would REALLY capture her attention...sure enough!
We have lots and lots of Barney tapes if you want them. Laura and Mia loved him! Cute pictures as usual:)
